Workshop - Traditional and new surgical and biopsy techniques for the GI tract, liver and pancreas

Veterinarians are invited to join us for this workshop on surgical and biopsy techniques for the GI tract, liver and pancreas. Our experienced instructors will teach a maximum of 25 veterinarians traditional and new techniques. During this workshop theory and case-presentations are combined with hands-on training showing equipment and using phantoms. The instructor team consists of two experienced veterinary surgeons and an experienced veterinary specialist working with internal medicine. 

The following techniques and procedures will be covered:

  • Stomach: gastrotomy/gastropexi/wall resection
  • Intestines: enterotomy/end-to-end anastomosis/stapling
  • Gastro-duodenoscopy and colonoscopy
  • Liver: ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration biopsy/ultrasound guided True cut biopsy/wedge biopsy through laparoscopy/ liver lobe resection
  • Gallbladder: cholecystectomy
  • Techniques: stapling/endoscopy/laparoscopy/vessel sealing
